Moon Society Staff

The Moon Society has no paid staff, full time or part time.

Membership Processing is taken care of by volunteers.

We currently have two unpaid staff people:

1) David A. Dunlop - Effective July 5, 2006, the Society has responded to the availability of a well-qualified volunteer with substantial retirement free time to dedicate to the Society's needs by creating the following position.

Director of Project Development - David A. Dunlop

David A. Dunlop, already a Moon Society Advisor, has assumed this as hoc title and will be assisting the Moon Society President in developing new projects. He has volunteered to help with those projects deemed important by the President but which the President does not have either the time, or the needed expertise to handle.

Dave's expertise includes project and team management, grant proposal writing, and event organizing.

Dave's front burner project is to help organize a strong Moon Society presence at ISDC 2007. The Society will host a mixer-reception for its members, friends, and curious visitors, a hospitality event, a Town Meeting, and a major workshop. Several Society members will be giving presentations at ISDC. He has since served as Moon Track Chair for ISDC 2008 and will be serving in the same capacity for ISDC 2009.

Dave has a strong interest in starting student/campus chapters in the Wisconsin-Illinois area, with the College of the Menominee Nation - Green Bay, WI chapter receiving its certificate in October, 2008.

CMN initial project areas include experimental lunar agriculture and amateur rocket launches

He has also taken the lead in finding opportunities to display our new Solar Power Beaming desktop demonstration unit.

2) James A. Rogers - Effective June 30, 2008,  James has volunteered to serve a Public Relations Officer and head of the Public Relations & Outreach team, as he had already been performing as such informally. James is one of our younger members, and one of the most energetic, volunteering for many action items. We expect to see him on the Board of Directors in the near future. James hails from Longview Texas where he is currently in college.
