
Lunar Development Conference 2025
An International Moon Day event brought to you by ISRUtech Sweden AB
Friday July 18 to Sunday July 20
The three day 2025 Lunar Development Conference (LDC2025) will bring together speakers from science, business, space policy, advocacy, and academia who will present their research and ideas for the human future of Luna. This years conference theme is “Knowledge and Needs”, with the following tracks:

The event is part of the Moon Society tradition of successful annual Lunar Development Conferences which have brought together hundreds of attendees and scores of speakers including CEOs, professors, business professionals, legal and policy experts, presenting and discussing a wide range of ideas and opinions. All sessions from from earlier LDCs, from 2020 and onwards, are available for on-demand viewing on the Moon Society YouTube channel.
The 2025 Lunar Development Conference is organised by ISRUtech Sweden AB at Moonbase Lappträsk.

Conference Registration
- The call for papers is now closed, and we have a very interesting set of presentations, as well as workshops with the aim of discussing and agreeing on recommendations for the next phasse of Lunar Development!
- Conference Format
- Virtual via Zoom – Moon Society members and presenters will be emailed links to attend the conference along with complete instructions.
- The conference is free to attend for all members of the Moon Society. If you are not a member, the fee is 35$ for adults, 20$ above and below that. Simply join the Moon Society and you will be emailed all the information you need.
Conference Documentation
A book of abstracts is available at moonsociety.org/LDC2025Abstracts. It is pretty complete but will be updated with the few remaining abstracts and any last minute changes and revisions.
All presentations and workshops will be recorded and made available at the Moon Society Youtube channel. The workshop papers will be made available after the conference, in the post-conference book of abstracts or as independent (white) papers.
Instruction for Authors
It is the responsibility of the respective authors to provide a clear and succinct one page illustrated abstract for inclusion in the book of abstracts. Keynote presentations may
- The prefered format is a Word document on page size A4 (210x297mm). Efforts will be made to accomodate contributions in other document types and formats (“printing” all formats as pdf in A4 and adding white space if it was not A4 to start with).
- Each presentation page should contain (in this order)
- A normal heading with the title of the presentation and the name of the author(s). Should there be more than one author, the name of the presenter (only) should be bold.
- A summary of the presentation, including text and one or two illustrations.
- A bio of the (main) author, including a photo of the presenting author(s) and contact info/affiliation. The contact info can be anything that will allow contact by interested attendees.

The deadline for abstract submission was June 20th, but the book of abstracts will be updated with revisions until the day before the conference.
