Hi all,
Last weekend was a whirlwind of exhibitions for me, Moon Society Nashville Outpost.
On Friday 5/2, I presented the “Apollo to Artemis and Beyond“ exhibit at the Nashville Adventure Science Center’s “Star Wars Way Late Play Date” from 7-10:00pm. They had ~600 guests, many in costume, and I spoke directly with ~100 guests including R2D2.
On Saturday 5/3, I presented solar system and astronomy exhibits at Ashland City’s Beaman Park Nature Center from 12-4:00pm. We planned to do solar viewing but rain cancelled that and we only had 5 visitors and 4 staff.
On Sunday 5/4, I presented the “Apollo to Artemis and Beyond“ exhibit at the Adventure Science Center’s “Star Wars Day” from 9-4:00. They had 1,255 guests and I spoke directly with ~150 guests.
I had many adults thank me for explaining a lot of the space program spacecraft. I also had a lot of kids interested in all the rockets. And quite a few played with my Star Wars Millennium Falcon and Ty Fighter and my “planetary milk jugs” gravity demonstration.
Pics below.
Looking forward to presenting at the US Space and Rocket Center on Saturday 5/10 9-4:00.
