Hi all,
I represented Moon Society Nashville Outpost at the ICCC’25 (Imperial Commissary Collector’s Convention) predominantly Star Wars collector’s convention on Sunday 5/18 from 10:00 to 4:00 at Murfreesboro’s Embassy Suites Hotel.
I presented my “Apollo to Artemis and Beyond” spacecraft exhibit including a Saturn V, LEM, STS, ISS, and SpaceX’s Dragon, Falcon, Starships and Artemis 3 Moon lander. I showed Boeing’s Starliner and Blue Origin’s New Shepard, New Glenn rockets and Blue Moon landers.
I had a 1:144 Moon base with multiple rovers and robots, pics of other proposed Moon bases, and samples of tile, rebar, woven fabrics and rope made of lunar simulated materials showing how we will be able to make products on the Moon vs. bringing them from Earth.
I had models of the Mars rover Perseverance and Ingenuity helicopter, a SpaceX Mars colony, Hubble and Webb telescopes and the new Europa Clipper probe. I also had a few Star Wars models on display.
I spoke with about 100 of their estimated 1,000 guests.
I met some very interested people and a few “out of this world” characters. See photos below. Everyone was having a good time. I plan to be back next year.
