Moon Society Nashville Outpost at Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory’s Telescope Night 6/20

Hi all,

I represented the Moon Society Nashville Outpost by presenting my “Apollo to Artemis” exhibit at Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory’s Telescope Night on Friday 6/20 from 9:30-11:30 using spacecraft models of the Apollo Saturn V, LM, STS Space Shuttle, Soyuz and Artemis’s SLS, Orion, and SpaceX and Blue Origin’s Human Landing Systems. Commercial space models shown were Blue Origin’s New Shepard, SpaceX’s Falcon 9 with Crew Dragon, Falcon Heavy and Starship, and Boeing’s Starliner.

I discussed the Artemis 1 and 2 Orion missions, Artemis 3 and 4 SpaceX crew landing missions and Artemis 5 and 6 Blue Origin’s crew landing missions.

The program was well received. I spoke directly with about 100 of their 200 guests while most of the rest looked at the exhibit.  I had some great questions and compliments.

Next events:
